Summer Camp

It has been quite some time since I have taken the time to sit down and blog but today I have felt something so exciting about what has happened the past few weeks that I just figured I am here at work at 5 a.m. with all my tasks finished so why not go for it. So. Here I am.

A few weeks ago was youth camp for FLC/the NXT up at Quaker Hill in McCall. Monday afternoon I started a very peaceful and relaxing drive up there after work (which was my first day of my promotion as front desk manager, thank you Lord) and got to spend some much needed alone time with God. First can I just say that watching all the young people be moved by the power of God was exciting. For me this year I took on the role of observation, I was so curious as to what God was doing in lives of young people that I would find myself just looking around and seeing what was going on.

That week at camp I got the pleasure of watching some people step out in faith and use the gift God has given them which was very exciting for me considering one of them was one of my good friends. Something happens in lives when you are obedient to God. Something new comes to the table and new territory is touched. For me personally that area has been prayer. Something one of my Pastors, one whom I go to a lot for advice and guidance in my life, told me that if Jesus sits at the right of God interceding then prayer and intercession MUST be very important. I think a lot of times we neglect to pray and forget that prayer is something we do for others, not just ourselves. So here I am stepping in faith onto our youth prayer team believing that God will use me to do His will inside of this ministry. I have seen breakthrough in my life because of obedience to Him. These past few weeks a lot has changed in my life and it is for the better. He is forming me and molding me into the woman of God He is calling me to be. I have a lot of exciting things happening this next year and I am very excited to see what God does.

On another note my family has some exciting, yet stressful, things coming up. For example, a wedding! Like I said, exciting yet stressful. I guess not so much stressful for me as it is for the bride and groom (my sister Becca and her fiance Corey). But I am very excited that she has found the one she gets to spend the rest of her life with. She is more than deserving of a great guy and she got one :) The wedding will be in August so be expecting pictures!

My other not to mention oldest sister Lizzie is expecting her second baby boy. I am one excited auntie! I will have 3 beautiful amazingly fun nephews (not to mention chunky). My sister and her husband make some chunky babies if I do say so myself. They are adorable little boys and boy do I love them!

My parents recently started attending Family Life Church and it has been awesome. Awesome to see them grow and feel connected and they have been able to restore a lot of friendships. It has been great to see them connected, covered and growing in a healthy church environment :)
God is good!
